Backside Brewery

About

It all started in 2012, when we decided to move our

glorified home brewing equipment from the family hay

barn to an old run down building in Roseburg, Oregon.

Those who know the history of the town know that the

building we reside in today is the old Gerretsens's

Building Supply. We turned a lumber yard into a brewery

with a little renovating and a lot of blood, sweat and

beers. Fast forward a few years, as a company we are

continually growing and looking for areas to expand and

improve. After some thought, and a lot of help from the

local community here in Sutherlin, Oregon, we decided to

pull the trigger on a second location! We love to search

for older buildings with history, transforming them into

something we believe to be a great representation of each

amazing city we move into. We stumbled upon this

location which was the home of Culver's Deli at one time,

and before that an old fashioned meat market in the early

1920's. We hope you enjoy our transformations of

keeping history alive in the beautiful Umpqua Valley as
